English to Dutch translation services
I attained my MA in Translation Studies in 1993 and have been operating as a freelance translator since 2003.
Over the past few years, I have worked in partnership with major translation agencies to produce countless translations for the largest companies within the IT sector. Prior to this, I worked as an in-house translator for an IT company for several years.
I translate a wide variety of material, including manuals, information leaflets, software strings and website content etc. InDutch is able to accommodate files in a wide variety of formats (doc, ppt, xls, txt, html, sgml, xml etc.).
You may of course provide your own, specific terminology. In addition to this, I use the standard terminology applied by Microsoft, unless you have another preference. When translating new terms, or terms that are rarely used, I use specialist dictionaries, glossaries and internet sources, or I consult fellow translators who specialise in the same field.
I keep abreast of all developments within the IT sector by means of specialist journals and newsletters.
I use the latest resources for translators, including translation memories and terminology programs, to ensure that all of your texts are translated in the same style and to ensure that your specific terminology is consistently applied.
